A Practice Shaped by Soft Edges

Margaret Nicoll makes soft sculptures and wall works that explore unstable boundaries and contradictory states between bodies, relationships, and states of being. Working with hand-dyed cheesecloth, pigment, canvas, and steel, she builds forms that remain deliberately unresolved - hovering between protection and constraint, belonging and separation, figure and abstraction.
