The braid operates as both structure and gesture -
not applied, but integral, holding the form together while also directing it. Repetition becomes a method of construction, as each layer adds weight, tension, and memory.
The surface remains soft, but the system is not. Softness, here, is not passive. It organizes, contains, and sustains.
